Leadership for Flourishing Futures: Nicole Biondi joins Capita’s Board

Leading South African strategist and communicator Nicole Biondi has been elected to Capita’s governing Board of Directors

I am thrilled to announce that Nicole Biondi has joined our governing Board of Directors with effect from June 19, 2020. 

Nicole is the strategic head of marketing and communications activities for Innovation Edge - a social impact investor focused on early childhood. She focuses on the needs and opportunities of the investment platform, as well as offering a range of support for individual investments within the portfolio. We have collaborated with Nicole and the Innovation Edge team on a range of projects and events in recent years, and we are delighted to work more closely with her as a member of our Board of Directors. 

In addition to being a skilled strategist and communicator, Nicole has dynamic leadership abilities; event management expertise; public speaking prowess and coaching and facilitation skills. She has more than 15 years experience in the fields of marketing, communications and public relations within a number of sectors.

She has led a high-performing team of creative individuals as the Strategic Communications and Content Manager for Cape Town Tourism – the City of Cape Town’s (CoCT) official destination marketing agency. Her role there had a strong focus on content marketing and crisis communications. As the Regional Marketing Manager for conservation agency South African National Parks, she concentrated her efforts on cause-related marketing. She developed a good understanding of government support systems for the entrepreneurship ecosystem when she managed the first Cape Town Entrepreneurship week on behalf of CoCT.

Nicole has also consulted for the hospitality, retail and art industries, successfully launching a fine dining restaurant, niche cycle store and the work of a number of high-profile South African contemporary artists among other achievements. A fan of keeping connected to the pulse of a variety of industries through “side-gigs”, she is also a performance poet, voice artist, event organizer and often MC, giver of talks, writer and host of murder mystery dinner events and a personal development coach.

As an accomplished strategist and communicator with a seemingly endless reserve of creative energy, Nicole will contribute powerfully to Capita’s work as we aim to reach new and more diverse audiences around the world.
