I am thrilled to announce that Adrienne Allen has joined Capita’s governing Board of Directors with effect from June 26, 2020.

Adrienne is an accomplished nonprofit leader with experience having raised millions of dollars for national and international organizations, including FoodCorps, The Nature Conservancy, and Environmental Defense Fund. In thirteen years of development work, Adrienne has successfully closed gifts from high net worth individuals, corporations, foundations, government and labor unions, as well as built major gift programs from the grassroots up, led national fundraising teams, and developed strategic initiatives for donor investment.

Adrienne has led storytelling workshops, devised from a Public Narrative course taught by famed organizer Marshall Ganz at Harvard Kennedy School while completing coursework for a certificate in Exponential Fundraising. Outside of work, Adrienne enjoys trying new recipes weekly, traveling and rooting for the North Carolina Tar Heels. In August, Adrienne will step in the role of Director of Principal Giving for the International Rescue Committee.

She is based in New York City.

A talented social sector leader and fundraiser, we are delighted to benefit from Adrienne’s expertise and commitment to building a more humane, more just, flourishing future for all children and families in the months and years ahead.
